New Year, New Stuff

Happy New Year Guys!

I'm usually not excited by christmas and new year festivities because I believe that a lot of people forget/ignore the real message behind the season and are all for the food and drinks. But hey, what do I know?

Looking back at 2012, I almost want to give myself a pat at the back. Even though I was a mess for some time and made foolish mistakes a number of times, I tried out a lot of new things (some I'll never try again *shudder*), I learnt so many things and I met a lot of new people. I'm thankful for 2012, but I'm glad it's over and for the first time in a very long time, I'm excited about 2013...I have this feeling that awesome stuff will happen this year.

Ok, enough with the preachy. What better way to start the new year than with a mini haul???? Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you my new stuff *drumroll*

Mac Matchmaster Foundation: A friend of mine used this and her face was flawless and so beautiful! I had to ask what she had on and thus began my quest for this baby. To my utter dismay, I couldn't find a single bottle of this in Lagos, Nigeria...yes, I checked almost everywhere. However, my amazing friend from Fashion Addicts United got it for me on one of her many trips to the obodo oyibo. Thanks Eguono!

Mac 'Touch' Lipstick: 'My Amazing Friend' got this for me, along with the foundation. I've been on the hunt for nude/brown lipstick and with the vast collection that MAC has available, I got a bit confused. But I had to start somewhere, so I picked touch. I'm thinking of 'shy girl' or 'hug me' next. I love Touch, it's in the Lustre range and it glides on like silk...really creamy.

L.A. Girl 'Tell Me Lies' Lipstick: Yeah, I'm in a nude phase. I tried L.A. Girl some months ago and I was pretty impressed. For this reason, I've decided to try more of their lipsticks. 'Tell Me Lies' is sort of pasty, as was the last L.A. Girl nude lipstick I tried...maybe it's their thing? It's really creamy and quite pigmented too. I like a lot.

Earrings: I got this from the Mr. Price store in leisure mall (adeniran ogunsanya) an everytime I wear them I get compliments.

I'm open to trying out new stuff this year, and by this I'm talking more than makeup. Hope you are too :)

I wish you a beautiful 2013! *kisses*
