The Review: Valentino Donna
Hiiii!
How's everyone been?
Took some time off, got bugged down with Malaria and stressed out from being constantly in motion 24/7. Fully recovered now, but the Fuel and Light situations here in Lagos are beyond words.
Not going to start my week complaining...let's spice our week up with pretty things.
It's been a while since I shared any new fragrances with you guys that I now have quite a collection to share with you. Today's pretty lady is Valentino Donna.

THE BOTTLE: The bottle of this perfume is really pretty and fits well in the hand...studded glass with gold detailing. The liquid inside though is pink, just like the packaging it came in...so girly :)
THE SMELL: Valentino describes this fragrance as luminous and sensual: its floral oriental fragrance revolves around a contrast of noble ingredients. Rose essence, generously blended with notes of bergamot and iris pallida, illuminates the fragrance with refined radiance. Warm, intense notes of leather, blended with patchouli and vanilla, express an exquisite sensuality.
THE VERDICT: I didn't know what exactly to expect with this because I'd never tried any perfume by Valentino before now, but this was surprisingly nice. Not enough to buy another bottle, but nice enough to wear and not give away if given as a gift. It's a little too sweet for my taste, kinda smells like candies, flower and also has a powdery smell...lol. My descriptive skills are obviously sh*t. Plus, it's pretty long-lasting...an added bonus in anybody's books I'm sure. If you like sweet, girly and long-lasting fragrances, you should try this.
PURCHASE: You can buy this from Montaigne Place @ The Palms (Lekki) or Adeniran Ogunsanya Shopping mall (Surulere).

ReplyDeleteThanks Tomiwa. I know right, it's such a pretty bottle.
DeleteI always attracted to the Valentino fragrances because of its fascinating notes. I tried the last edition of Valentino "Uomo". As a new addition of Valentino, I will definitely try the "Donna" fragrance next time. Thanks for sharing this review.
ReplyDeleteGood post but I was wondering if you could write a litte more on this subject? I’d be very thankful if you could elaborate a little bit further. Appreciate it! https://www.luxjunky.com/
